Christos Nikolopoulos is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronic Engineering of the Hellenic Mediterranean University in addition to a long-standing affiliation as a Research Associate in Wireless & LongDistance Communication Lab., Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens. Also, past positions include the EMC Consultant services at EMTech SPACE P.C. to various projects of ESA’s ITT.
The main research interests are in the field of Electromagnetic Compatibility, Inverse Scattering, Antenna Design & Propagation, Magnetic Sensors and Magnetic measurements. Recent research focused on characterizing and measuring techniques for in situ catalytic nanomaterials. Past positions include Hellenic Telecommunications Organization and various research projects in collaboration with National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, National Technical University of Athens, European Research Agencies and the Hellenic Ministry of Finance. He is currently supervising 5 Ph.D. Students, and in total, he has generated grants totaling > 1.200,000.00 € as principal investigator (PI) and I have participated in grants totaling > 2,500,000.00 € as an associate/senior investigator (AI/SI). Christos Nikolopoulos is reviewer in top journals of high impact factor such as PLOS One, IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Access, IEEE Antennas & Wireless Propagation Letters (AWPL), IEEE Communication Letters, IEEE Open Journal of Antennas and Propagation, and more. He also, teaches a large number of undergraduate & postgraduate courses (topics include Electromagnetic Compatibility, Antennas and Wireless Propagation, Data Mining, Microwaves Technologies) at Hellenic Mediterranean University, National Technical University of Athens.
