The Art Exhibition on the theme Greening Dry Cleaning, which took place during Clean Expo 23 at the Peristeri Exhibition Center from February 11 to 12, 2023, was completed with great success.

A workshop entitled “Prevention and replacement of single-use plastics in Greek dry cleaners GreeningDryCleaning” was successfully held on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at the Peristeri Exhibition Center, as part of the Clean EXPO 2023 exhibition.

The aim of this session is to present some of the main principles of geothermal systems: wherethe energy come from? What are the geological contexts favorable to the use of this energy? What are the different types of geothermal systems? The emphasis will be on systems that can be characterized by geophysical approaches.

Spyros Bellas, researcher at the Institute of Geoenergy of the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH), took part in a discussion on the television channel KRITI TV with the Deputy Regional Governor for the Environment of Crete, Mr. Nikos Xylouris, regarding the seismic surveys for hydrocarbons currently underway in the offshore areas west and northwest of Crete.

The Director of the Institute of Geoenergy IG/FORTH, Nikos Pasadakis, gave an interview to NEA TV on the occasion of the resumption of natural gas exploration in Greece, where he discusses the need for continuity in these research efforts so that they can lead to the utilization of the natural resources available in our country.

The Institute of Geoenergy of the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (IG/FORTH) and the Hellenic Center for Marine Research (HCMR) signed a 5-year Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation with the aim to strengthen their collaborative activities in research and innovation.
