Kolokotsa

Dr. Dionysia Kolokotsa is Professor and Dean of the School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering of the Technical University of Crete, in the field of Energy Resources Management.

Gournis

Dimitrios Gournis is a Professor of Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology in the School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at the Technical University of Crete (TUC), Chania, Greece. He is an experimental synthetic chemist working in the area of layered and nanoporous materials. He was born in Athens (1969) and received his BSc in Chemistry from the University of Ioannina (Greece) in 1992.

Vakalas

Dr. Vakalas Ioannis is a geologist who has worked in various fields, such as sedimentology, petroleum geology, hydrogeology, soil & rock mechanics, for over 20 years. He has worked as a sub-contractor for major energy companies in Greece such as Energean Oil and Gas, Repsol, Hellenic Petroleum Upstream, Hellenic Hydrocarbons, and Energy Resources Management Company. During his tenure, he has supervised several oil & gas exploration projects.

Marinakis

Mr. Dimitris Marinakis holds an Assistant Professor position in Petroleum Production Engineering at the Department of Mineral Resources Engineering of the University of Western Macedonia.

Tselepidis

Anastasios Tselepides is a Biological Oceanographer and a Professor at the Biology Department of the University of Crete. For many years (2006-2022) he was a Professor at the Department of Maritime Studies of the University of Piraeus. Prior to that (1993-2006) he was a Senior Researcher and a Research Director, as well as the leader of the Oceanography Department of the Institute of Marine Biology of Crete (IMBC) that evolved into the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research in Crete (HCMR-Crete).

Kallithrakas-Kontos

Nikos Kallitharakas - Kontos is professor of the Technical University of Crete (from 1992 to present). He received his PhD from the Chemical Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (in collaboration with the Accelerator Laboratory of the NCSR “Demokritos”), and he has also been a post-doctoral Researcher at the Environmental Radioactivity Laboratory of the NCSR Demokritos. He is Vice-chairman of the Greek Atomic Energy Commission.

Steiakakis

Dr E. Steiakakis acquired a Bachelor Degree in Geology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and a MSc Degree in Engineering Geology from the Leeds University.

Gaganis

Dr. Vassilis Gaganis holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Patras, Greece, a MSc and a PhD in Petroleum Engineering from the Technical University of Crete. Currently he holds an Assistant Professor position at the National Technical University of Athens, School of Mining and Metallurgical Engineering.

Pasadakis

Nikos Pasadakis is a Professor at the School of Mineral Resources Engineering of the Technical University of Crete, Director of the post-graduate course “Petroleum Engineering” and Director of the research unit “Hydrocarbons Chemistry & Technology”.
