One-day Conference on Geoenergy and Energy Transition

The Institute of Geoenergy of the Foundation for Research and Technology Hellas warmly invites you to the one-day conference on Geoenergy and Energy Transition.

The conference is organized within the framework of the European project “TWINN2SET: Twinning to Sustainable Energy Transition” which aims to enhance research in the fields of geothermal energy, geological hydrogen storage, and carbon capture and utilization technologies, with the goal of promoting the energy transition.

The conference will take place on Thursday, March 19th, 2026, at the ‘’Grand Arsenal” in the city of Chania. Registration opens at 09:00 am.

With the completion of the TWINN2SET project, its results will be presented and discussed, along with interesting talks on Geoenergy, Underground Storage of H₂ and CO₂, Geothermal Energy and its microbial communities, and broader topics related to the Energy Transition.

All participants will receive Certificates of Attendance after the completion of the conference.
