The Director of the Institute of Geoenergy (IG/FORTH), Professor Ioannis Gentekakis, spoke on the TV Creta programme Update about the latest developments in the Eastern Mediterranean, following the signing of the ministerial decision approving Chevron’s expression of interest for hydrocarbon exploration in the two offshore areas south of Crete, as well as about the role of the Institute of Geoenergy.

The 20th issue of "Κρητών Επιχειρείν" (Kriton Epicheirein) magazine has been released, featuring an extensive special report on the contribution of the laboratories of the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH) in strengthening the connection between research and entrepreneurship.

Following the signing of the contract concerning the construction of the Research and Innovation Center for the Sustainable Energy Transition, with a total area of 3,296.28 m², work began immediately on the construction of the buildings in Chania, which will house the Institute of Geoenergy and the Science & Technology Park.

The 1^st Summer School of the TWINN2SET project will be held from 1 to 5 July 2024. The summer school is dedicated to Energy Transition and includes a series of lectures, workshops and lab tours.

Το Ινστιτούτο Γεωενέργειας του ΙΤΕ σε συνεργασία με το Πολυτεχνείο Κρήτης διοργανώνουν το 1^ο Θερινό Σχολείο Ενεργειακής Μετάβασης (1st Summer School on Energy Transition) στο πλαίσιο του Ευρωπαϊκού έργου TWINN2SET (Twinning to Sustainable Energy Transition). Παράλληλα, το Cluster Βιοοικονομίας και Περιβάλλοντος Δυτικής Μακεδονίας (CluBE) και η Advent Technologies διοργανώνουν το 2^ο Θερινό Σχολείο Υδρογόνου με την υποστήριξη του Πανεπιστημίου Δυτικής Μακεδονίας.

Με ιδιαίτερη χαρά ανακοινώνουμε ότι τα ανωτέρω Θερινά Σχολεία θα διεξαχθούν παράλληλα μεταξύ 1-5 Ιουλίου 2024 με αρκετές αλληλεπιδράσεις κατόπιν της στρατηγικής συνεργασίας που έχει επιτευχθεί μεταξύ των 2 Eυρωπαϊκών Έργων (Green Skills for Hydrogen & TWINN2SET).
